NOTICE – EXTENSION OF PUBLIC INSPECTION
Proposed Grand Barbe Eco‑Tourism Development, Silhouette
The Department of Environment and Natural Resources wishes to inform the public that the period for public inspection for the Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) Report on the proposed Eco‑Tourism Development – Grand Barbe, Silhouette has been extended.
This extension has been granted following the receipt of new scientific information concerning biodiversity within the project area. The Ministry considers it essential that this updated information be made available to the public to ensure a transparent and inclusive consultation process.
The EIA Report will continue to be available for public inspection at the following locations:
- Documentation Center of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Botanical Gardens
- Bel Ombre Administration Office
- MECENR Website
Interested and affected parties are invited to view the document and submit any comments or concerns regarding the proposed development.

- Extension Period: Until Friday 18th September 2026
- Days: Monday to Friday
- Time: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
